Volunteer Consultant, Global Ismaili Councils
I work with community leaders in countries including Afghanistan, India, Tajikistan, and the U.K. to improve quality of life — expanding access to education from early childhood through tertiary levels, strengthening employability and skills development, and advancing gender equality. The work combines stakeholder engagement, program impact review, and tracking real change in people’s lives, and I facilitate leadership discussions on strategic findings and performance plans.
Highlights
India: Quality of Life studies
Launched India's first Quality of Life study for the Ismaili Council, now completed in three rounds. The findings revealed generational poverty and led to Camp Bright Sparx, a residential academic camp in Vapi, Gujarat, and new income pathways for families.
Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Russia
Trained local volunteer teams and supported country leaders in moving from instinct to evidence-based planning in education, health care, housing and economic activity.
United States
Helped the Ismaili Council for the United States run its first Quality of Life survey. Its best practices were later adopted by other countries.
Greece and Portugal: refugee support
Spent six months supporting more than 1,000 Afghan migrants across 15 camps in Greece. The team helped resettle 84 people to Portugal under a program the two countries agreed to expand.
